What Jesus Did For You!

Think about this: At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to death. At the time, crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals were condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus. Unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion, Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet. Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long. The nails were driven into His wrist, not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist, that tendon would tear and break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself so that He could breathe. Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus could not support Himself with His legs because of the pain so He was forced to alternate between arching His back then using His legs just to cont

Where Is God?

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away. Where Is God? In the midst of all the evil taking place in the world today, many people are asking themselves "Where Is God"? Many wonder if He is comfortable up in heaven - looking down on all of us - doing a whole-lotta-not-much...  This leads to the assumption that God is in a far-away place. So, Where Is God? Romans 14:12 says, “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” The mere fact that people even ask "Where Is God" shows evidence that God is not operating in their lives ( Isaiah 59:2 Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. )  Today's Christian - or the Modern Church has been so watered down - and not operating as Christians did in ancient times. In ancient times, they had One Holy Bible; today we have versions and variants that have used language to dumb-us-

Delivered Me

1 Samuel 26:24 And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the Lord, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation. 2 Samuel 22:18 he delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me. 2 Samuel 22:20 He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me. 2 Samuel 22:44 Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me. 2 Samuel 22:49 and that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Job 6:23 Or, Deliver me from the enemy’s hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty? Psalm 6:4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’ sake. Psalm 7:1 O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me

WWJD - Conclusion

Isaiah 53 displays Jesus in a real precious way. We ought to highly esteem him and aim to assume his likeness in thought, action and deed. To have a heart after His own, we need to reflect Jesus in everything we think, say and do. This is an awesome example on how to truly humble yourself before God.  Isaiah 53  - Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Jesus was considered unattractive. Looks was not where HIS strength was yet HE was confident with who HE was. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Jesus suffered a

2 Thessalonians 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: As we Abide in Christ, we are counted worthy because we ae fulfilling our calling according to God’s good pleasure in faith. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. The more we seek Jesus, the more we learn from Him; the more we learn from Him, the more we become like Him.   Matthew 13:45-46 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:   who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Those of us who are in Christ are His Treasure – this is a great honor – to be God’s treasure through Christ ! Matthew 6:21 says, “for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Now

Ephesians 5:15-16 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. This verse exhorts us to be carefully aware of all the circumstances we face, AND to give careful consideration of all the probable consequences of our actions. Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. God is compassionate, loving – full of grace and mercy; however, we know that there will be those who will not inherit eternal life. It is not because God has failed, but because the heart of the person loved his own way instead Abiding in Christ Jesus. Abiding in Christ begins with the renewing

Hosea 10:12 says. “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” God rains righteousness on us AS we Abide IN Christ-Jesus. So, how do we do that? We carefully examine the characteristics of JESUS, and then we apply them in our own lives. All Scripture texts are in the Authorized King James Version only. Abiding In Christ Part 1: Jesus is devoted to the things that are of God . Colossians 3:2   Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Jesus weighed every thought. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Jesus is thankful. Matthew 15:36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. Jesus rejected profane tal
