What You Need To Know About Losing Your Salvation

Everybody knows about the Great Falling Away. In fact, today's Christian is anything but! Present day Christianity permits every sin under the sun with the assurance of eternal security because God is Love. I'd like to caution you from a false sense of security or salvation.

God is love, that is for sure, but you have to make Jesus your LORD before you have Him as Savior.

On January 8, 2022, Bill C-4 was passed in Canada criminalizing all teaching against the world view of cisgender and heterosexuality. It's insane to believe that any man can live in total opposition to a Holy God and think he will be welcome to His Eternal Dwelling!

I stand in opposition that Biblical Morality is myth. It is the very Truth of God - no matter what man may say. God's Authority is Final!

Anxiety and depression are the two greatest things people require medication for. It's no wonder! We are living proof that a life apart from Christ - or Biblical Morality as some put it, blocks peace and joy and brings chaos into our lives.

A life in Christ is joy and peace.

I have studied the teachings of all kinds of professed Christians from BIG Names - to those who are not known by many at all. One thing I know is they are all sure of themselves - but I didn't share in their surety. Perhaps that's because their surety came from their earthly security - because once this plandemic hit, I witnessed all of them shaken up - and their surety shattered!

Today's apostate Christian is the anti-Christ. An anti-Christ merges Biblical Truth with Satanic (self-serving) beliefs. What they do is twist the Word of God to suit themselves - or you, so they don't lose their congregation (business).

Let's examine what the Bible says about falling away:

In John 10:27-29  Jesus says, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand." This sounds like eternal security to me - after all, it came right out of Jesus' mouth!

Does this mean that those who accepted Jesus as their LORD and Savior are eternally secure?

2 Timothy 2:11-12 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: if we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

So, here we see that if we deny Jesus, He will deny us. Does this mean the denial of our salvation and eternal security?

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

According to Matthew 7:21, it depends on what it is you are denying...

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Based on Matthew 7:23, if we deny the Righteousness of Christ, we see that it will have an eternal consequence. So we see here this applies to those who have chosen NOT to make Jesus their LORD.

Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Hebrews 10:26-28 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Do you know how many times I've sinned willfully since I came to know Jesus? I'd rather not answer that...

Ezekiel 18:24-26 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

We know this is true because sin earns a wage.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

As does righteousness...

Matthew 6:20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

...even though anything good we have done will not be mentioned if we not be in Christ.

1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

So now we begin to see that though people may know Jesus, the are not In Christ because the truth is not in them!

2 Peter 2:20-22 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

If people are truly living for Jesus, they are going to follow that up with building themselves up in the Truth.

2 Peter 1:5-10 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

IF ye do these things - Ye Shall Never Fall!

So in essence, it is up to us to maintain and develop ourselves in the Faith of Jesus Christ. By not moving forward, we are slipping backward!

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

This means we ought not to rely on others to teach us - but we ought to apply ourselves to learn about Jesus on our own time and to follow after the example HE set for us.

So, getting back to whether or not we can lose our eternal security - it's a yes, but it's also a no.

It's a YES, if you fall back and stay there - with no interest into pursuing Christ, and His Righteousness.

It's a NO, even if you fell - but when you did fall, you fell on your knees in true repentance, and continued the way you should in 2 Peter 1:5-10.

Mark 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Just so you know, this definition of baptism means the Rite of Adoption by God through Jesus His Son and Our LORD!

Each and every one of needs to be developed in Christs truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." We all need to learn and grow as God draws us to His Word. The more you get into it, the more it gets into you. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. I look at it this way, Jesus said His Word will not pass away. With that said, I believe it would be profitable to get as much of it into me.

I have been frustrated by those who say even if you are 99.97% sure, you are surely going to burn in hell for an eternity. That's what the scribes and the Pharisees believed about the people. Look at what Jesus said about them in Matthew 5:20; "For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." Heavy! But look at what He said in Luke 20:35 (a,b) "but they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead;"

May I always be worthy enough - to know that I am not worthy enough.

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

God Bless,

Maria
